Community Class: Trauma Informed Somatic Healing
During the brighter and warmer months, we tend to put more energy out into the world and engage with more active “giving” energy. Now, as the days grow darker, we are called inward to “receive” and reflect on our self/selves, our choices, and our community. We have an opportunity to reconnect with the parts of us that may have been asking for attention while we were busy nourishing other parts that needed it.
In this workshop, you will learn how to identify and listen to your own healing voice, receive guidance in developing self-trust, and cultivate deeper understanding of and self-love for yourself. Build this connection to yourself through somatic movements inspired by yoga and restorative postures that offer opportunities to move and be still both inside and outside, with flexibility to engage on your own terms. Perfect for those who want a more nurturing practice for healing whatever is presenting within their bodies emotionally or mentally. We'll explore conscious movement that emerges from your body's innate wisdom, rather than external appearance. There is opportunity to learn more about yourself, how your body works, and what you can give to yourself, transforming how you feel, interpret, and initiate movement and stillness both on and off of the mat.
***This will be a donation-based class with donations going to the Worcester Center for Crafts' Healing Arts Department, as a thank you for all of the ways that my life has been changed thanks to my time at Third Eye Yoga***
